The family practice doctor is the modern "general practitioner." However, unlike the G.P. of old, F.P.'s must keep up with the pressures of modern medicine. To deal with this all of the doctors in our group are board certified.
In order to maintain Board Certification, Family Physicians must complete at least 150 hours of Continuing Medical Education every three years, and pass comprehensive exams.
This means that the family practitioner at Brunswick Princeton Family Practice has completed comprehensive advanced specialty training in pediatrics, adult health, preventive medicine, office surgical and diagnostic procedures, gerontology (geriatrics), and others. Additionally, many F.P.'s have sub speciality areas of expertise. The focus of F.P.'s is to provide continuing, comprehensive health care to individuals and families.
